Special areas
Superyacht sustainability route
This year’s Metstrade Superyacht Sustainability Route powered by Water Revolution Foundation is initiated to kick-off a growing development for the years to come, guiding decision makers through the show among sustainable solutions that were verified through Water Revolution’s stringent life cycle verification assessment. These solutions are readily available for new and existing yachts to reduce their environmental impact. These verified solutions will get extra and well-deserved spotlight during the show, leading the way to lower environmental impact of yachts in their build, operational and/or refit phases throughout their life cycle.
Metstrade Young Professionals Club
Join marine industry talents under 35 and expand your network through our exclusive programme of events at Metstrade, hosted in the Young Professionals Club & Career Zone, powered by Marine Resources. And the Young Professionals Club goes beyond that: it provides ongoing opportunities to unlock your potential and connect with peers year-round through the Metstrade Young Professionals Club (YPC) LinkedIn group.
Start-Up Pavilion
In a groundbreaking move, Metstrade and Yachting Ventures will team up to introduce the Start-Up Pavilion, an innovative platform for emerging startups to showcase their latest products and technologies. This marks the first time ever that Metstrade will host such an event, demonstrating their commitment to supporting entrepreneurs in the industry.
The Start-Up Pavilion will feature 15 carefully selected companies who will have the opportunity to exhibit their cutting-edge ideas.
Next Generation Propulsion Zone
The growing demand for climate friendly engines and fuelling is gaining significance in the marine market. At Metstrade 2025 we will tap into this trend again and broaden our scope by offering our exhibitors a dedicated area for not only innovation on electric and hybrid engines, but also alternative fuelling, zero emission and other solutions to make propulsion greener.
Equipment Recyclability Hub
The goal of the Equipment Recyclability Hub is finding ways to efficiently collect, re-use and recycle sailing gear. World Sailing, the World Sailing trust and Metstrade work together to demonstrate the constant renewal of clothing, blocks, ropes and sails by Olympic and professional sailors.
The collected sailing gear demonstrates the wealth of products that are often directly sent to the bin. With minor faults, some gear is simply not good enough for winning races anymore. The ‘harvest’ will be put on display at this year’s Metstrade show, to stir up conversation and discussion about ways to re-use and recycle this often valuable equipment.
