The Fin E is a 150HP wave-membrane propulsion system engine
The Fin E is the second FinX fin-based propulsion system, now under development. With 150HP (110kW), it uses wave-membrane technology like the Fin S, with two vertical membranes for enhanced propulsion. The Fin E offers similar disruptive benefits, including high efficiency and low environmental impact. Designed for river shuttles, tourist boats, workboats, and rentals, the Fin E was selected by France Mobilités to showcase at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Fin S
The Fin S is a 2kW, safe, 100% electric fin propulsion engine for boats and sailboats up to 3 tons.
The Fin S is the world’s first fin-based, propeller-free boat engine. Fully electric and safe, it provides 2kW of power (equivalent to a 4HP engine) for small boats and sailboats up to 3 tons. Unlike traditional propellers, this linear motor propels water in a straight line, imitating the quiet strength of marine mammals. Designed for boat rentals, sailing schools, and maritime industries, the Fin S began first deliveries in late 2022, with the initial series industrialized in summer 2023.
