Polar Code for Superyachts in 2017
A new IMO code will affect ships and any commercially coded superyachts over 500 GT wishing to enter the Polar regions from next year onwards.

Compliance is graded into three categories. Category C has the least onerous requirements but might not enable a superyacht to gain the necessary permissions to explore more challenging waters. Category B is likely to be adopted for Polar exploration yachts.
