IOTA/2
Yachtcompass
The IOTA model is a universal steering compass, which is suitable for use on yachts of all sizes. With its fully gimbal-mounted bearing, the compass is suitable for desk, wall or ceiling mounting.
Base plates with a handy quick release fastener are available as accessories. This allows the compass to be used or safely stored in different places. The cover plates are available with or without B+C compensations (see accessories).
HORIZON ULTRA
Professional Sextant that is specialized for sun observations
With its polarizing filters and the Schüler-double-prism, the HORIZON ULTRA is optimally equipped for sun observation. The double prism redirects the horizon beam to the right and left of the sun’s reflection on the water and thus prevents any lighting-related measuring errors. In addition every little sloping of the sextant is immediately visible on the horizon.
BETA/4
Overhead compass
The BETA model is a steering compass suitable for professional coastal navigation and larger yachts. The BETA/4 ceiling compass is available as a built-in or surface-mounted version.
A mounted B+C compensation (accessory) is recommended for all compass models.
POLARIS
Professional Sextant that is specialized for planet and star observations
During fix star and planet observation the POLARIS shows its true strengths.
The unique clear-view-horizon-mirror combines all advantages of the full-view-mirror with those of the traditional split-view-mirror. In addition, it guarantees a wide field of vision and a precise view of the horizon even during poor visibility conditions.
Yet another distinctive feature is the astigmatizing lens which breaks a single point of light into a line, thus eliminating the need to swivel the sextant.
SIGMA
Bracket mount compass
The SIGMA model is a steering and bearing compass, which is suitable for use on larger yachts. A typical installation location is the sliding hatch or garage, so that a reading can be made from the steering position. The compass itself can be removed from the mounting plate, e.g. to stow it safely below deck. The mounting plate already includes B+C and K (heeling compensations). A mounting plate without compensation is also available as an accessory for this purpose.
