Beyond the Sea develops and markets kites, which can be used on all types of ships (from leisure boats to Merchant or Military vessels).

These kites allow the use of wind power in addition to the ship’s engine. By taking advantage of the wind, we reduce the energy needs of ships, while proportionally reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. These kites also provide additional safety for sailors, as they can be used as emergency propulsion.

DynaKite

DynaKite® will combine high performance, simplicity, resilience and cost control. Compact, DynaKite® will fit easily on the deck of any boat. The DynaKite® system automatically pilots a kite using only one electric motor, with extremely low energy consumption. It activates two lines that ensure not only traction and piloting in flight, but also semi-automatic take-off and rapid recovery of the kite. 
Currently in the development phase, beta evaluation versions will be available next year.

This environmentally friendly technology combines a kite, a launch mast, electronic sensors, a KiteBox (featuring winches and autopilot), and an intuitive human-machine interface.
