What is a country pavilion at Metstrade?
Since the first British Marine Industry Federation (BMIF) pavilion in 1989, country pavilions have become a prominent feature of Metstrade, growing steadily over the years and now representing the face of the show.
In partnership with ICOMIA, Metstrade showcases country pavilions, with the majority being members of ICOMIA. You can view them here: https://www.metstrade.com/pavilions/country-pavilions. As most country pavilions are organised by a Marine Industry Association (MIA), the term "MIA" is often used to refer to the country pavilion organisers. To see the placement of the country pavilions, please view our floorplan via the following link: https://www.metstrade.com/exhibition/floor-plan.
What does it mean to be a country pavilion organiser?
Metstrade offers the option of setting up a Country Pavilion, created of a cluster of stands, at Metstrade and, if applicable, at the SuperYacht Pavilion, Marina & Yard Pavilion, Construction Material Pavilion, and the Foiling Technology Pavilion. This pavilion can be formed by a minimum of three RAI-approved manufacturers and/or authorised distributors of leisure marine equipment, all based in the same country, covering at least 48 sqm. Within this space, the Country Pavilion Organiser may use between 6 and 12 sqm for a hospitality area, hosted by the MIA. Country Pavilion Organisers are expected to bring their association members to the pavilion.
