Fatigue Monitoring System

Embedded fatigue monitoring gives owners and riggers the tools to monitor the remaining lifetime of a rig, more accurately than mileage or age alone.

Fatigue of metal rigging components is a main driver of catastrophic rig failure. To inform on rigging maintenance, Cyclops Marine has embedded Fatigue Monitoring into its range of wireless load sensors. The sensors passively record load cycles over a rig's lifetime, saving the fatigue data within the sensor, independently of the yacht’s instruments. The fatigue data can then be visualised in the Cyclops app. Fatigue Monitoring is the future in data-driven preventative maintenance of rigging.
